Rockefeller’s Robertson Joins c2group, LLC
WASHINGTON, D.C. – c2group, LLC announced today that Patrick Robertson, a long-time aide and Deputy to the Chief of Staff to Senator Jay Rockefeller, has joined the firm as Partner.
Long considered a leader in the next generation of lobbying firms, Patrick joins a list of c2group partners that have served in key Congressional and Administration positions throughout the ever-changing political environment. “We are excited to welcome Patrick to the firm and look forward to the work he will do advancing our client interests. The addition of Patrick further sets us apart as a firm that is uniquely positioned to address the new political world,” said firm co-founder John Cline. “Patrick brings nine years of experience on Capitol Hill and the campaign trail, and we value his expertise on a variety of issues that will continue to shape the political landscape in Washington and across the country.”
In Rockefeller’s office, where Patrick served as the Deputy to the Chief of Staff for the last five years, he gained extensive legislative experience. Focusing on telecommunications, energy, transportation, tax policy, and economic development, Patrick worked closely with the Senate Commerce Committee and Senate Committee on Finance. Additionally, he worked with the Senate Committees on Veterans’ Affairs and Intelligence. Patrick also served as Rockefeller’s Campaign Manager for the Senator’s successful 2008 bid for a fifth term. “The presence with Senate Democrats that Patrick brings to the firm will be a strong asset for our clients,” says Managing Partner Hunter Bates.
“I’m excited to be joining such a dynamic group of people who have been so effective over the years in advocacy in Washington. c2group’s unique business plan means it has substantively qualified professionals working on a broad range of issues, which is what makes this such a great opportunity.” says Patrick, a graduate of American University’s Washington College of Law and the University of Pittsburgh.
c2group provides an impressive list of clients with seasoned advice and unique attention – the partners set the strategies and perform the work. c2group has a proven track record of success, and many clients have been part of the landscape of the firm for over 15 years (Visit http://www.thec2group.com for a complete list of clients). Patrick joins firm co-founders John Cline and Tom Crawford along with Managing Partner and General Counsel Hunter Bates, whose firm Bates Capitol Group merged with c2group in August of 2007. Additional partners include Michael Hanson, Nelson Litterst, Jeff Murray and Becky Halkias.
